Again this year, more than hundreds of educators in the Southeast will participate in the keynote seminars, sessions, and other activities taking place during the conference. Our vision is to inspire success and a lifetime of learning not only in students, but in adults as well. That is why we value professional development at Augusta University.

The ISL Conference offers something for every educator. Please review the list of sessions carefully and select the ones that will help you to become a better educator and bring new excitement to your classroom. We would like to thank Richmond County Schools, Columbia County Schools, Burke County Schools, McDuffie County Schools, Lincoln County Schools, and Jefferson County Schools, and all of our partners for helping to make the ISL Conference a success! There is a considerable amount of data contributed to Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS) and its sole effects on behavior, but in addition to rectifying behavior, PBIS is also impactful on academic success. In other words, the positive behavior changes throughout a school’s environment translate into improved learning for students and teaching for educators. Research has proven that two factors greatly interfere with academic success; a disruptive school climate and problem behaviors. “Time to Teach” is a set of classroom strategies proven to eliminate the multiple warnings and repeated requests in a way that is efficient and effective. The strategies provided to educators can be implemented immediately in an effort to get educators refocused back on their core responsibility, teaching. Attendees will gain the strategies necessary to manage their classrooms by minimizing disruptive behaviors in an attempt to regain confidence and increase productivity as educators and students.
